About Us

Get in touch

Aurora NVD has been operating since May 2025. From the outset, our mission has been to make optoelectronics more accessible to hobbyists, members of pro-defense organizations, and shooters.

The idea for the rental business came from a simple problem: good night-vision equipment is a serious expense that takes a long time to pay off under occasional use, and it’s hard to know whether a given model is right for you before buying it. That’s a barrier both for individuals and for companies building an equipment base to train others — not every group has enough members who can afford their own gear, and training companies can’t always afford to buy several units at once.

We address these needs by offering affordable rental of optoelectronic equipment. That makes it possible to try equipment before deciding to buy it, or to skip the investment entirely for occasional users who would only break even after 10–15 years. For anyone organizing training with optoelectronics, renting lowers the barrier to entry, letting the plan happen here and now.

Experience

We’ve worked with optoelectronics for 10 years, starting with an old green-phosphor monocular. Not long after came makeshift setups built around FLIR and Leupold LTO Tracker thermal observation scopes, mounted on airsoft replicas with improvised rigs.

Since then, dozens of units with wildly different specs have passed through our hands, some of them the result of our own builds. That work built up real technical knowledge, the skills to keep equipment in good condition and protected against risk factors, and the tool kit to do it.

Learning the ropes looks completely different today than it did ten years ago — the internet now puts far more sources within reach, and Western manufacturers and specialist retailers set the standard in this space by publishing articles, reviews, and comparisons. Transparency about information and process is their hallmark, and it’s the standard we hold ourselves to at Aurora NVD.

Beyond optoelectronics, we’ve spent years building shooting and tactical skills, training on courses run by both pro-defense organizations and commercial providers.
